Melbourne born brothers, co-founders and directors, Richard and Steven Boothby launched Switch Telecom in 2009 with the idea that they would build something that can only grow.

With sales in their blood – having sold pies and choc tops at local sporting grounds as young lads – then sporting equipment and later telecommunications and building a successful Amway business over 10 years, this 36 and 34 year old always did everything together. The business is growing incredibly well – 40 percent year on year. Their 500+ business customers are in industries like accounting, law, real estate, childcare and transport and in early 2018 they billed approximately $375,000 per month in services.

This ambitious duos’ aim is to bill $1 million per month and to expand heavily in the Hosted Voice and Data space. Their combined philosophy for making it in this business is to have a definite customer acquisition plan, grow at a manageable pace, project manage everything and to keep the balance between incoming sales and internal operations. Most importantly, they focus on their company purpose and teach their staff to live up to the Switch Telecom core values.
