Founder, Barry Ford, is one of the first ten Telcoinabox service providers. He launched Powercom Pacific in 2004. The business has grown from strength to strength largely due to the company moving swiftly with technology advances and following an acquisition path to grow the business.
Between 2007 and 2014 the company has made six micro-acquisitions of small to medium sized telco providers. Most recently they acquired MontiMedia, a former ISPOne customer migrating more than 2,000 customers across to the Telcoinabox platform.
Based in Geelong, the company has more than 3,000 high volume usage business customers signed to mobile phone plans, mobile data plans, land-lines and high-speed internet between Victoria and Queensland. On average the company bills approximately $200,000/month turning over approximately $2.4 million per annum.
The company plans to expand through more acquisitions and advance their capabilities in IP telephony.
