Customer Service Story

Established in 1999, ETel was one of the first service providers to launch in the Australian market. Following a series of unsatisfactory relationships with other wholesale providers, Etel turned to Inabox 3 years ago. Over the years working with Inabox, the relationship and product profile has grown with Inabox suppling landline, ADSL, ISDN/PSTN and 1300 numbers.

According to James Han, Executive Director of ETel, previously with PacNet and start up, Five Stars Telecom, “Inabox is big enough to compete yet small enough to care.” With more than 10,000 customers Australia wide, ETel has approximately 80 staff with offices in Sydney and Melbourne and a call centre in Taiwan to manage the Chinese tourist market sourcing local mobile communication services for their Australian holidays.

The company plans to continue building on the Asian tourist market and expand into the student-working holiday or studying in Australia market, focussing on Taiwan, Japan and Korea. ETel bills approximately $600,000 per month, equivalent to $7.2 million in revenue per annum.
